“I was flicking through a book which asked a number of exceptionally talented people, “Why are you creative?” It was quite beautiful to see that everyone had a different answer and no answer was more or less valid.  Why am I creative?  It’s fun, I love it, it inspires and gives me  joy!”

 

After completing her Bachelor of Fine Art at Queensland College of Art in 2005, Branka saw fashion and textiles as a wonderful opportunity to explore and share her ideas in a way that was accessible to people.  She started with creating T-shirt prints and selling these at the Young Designers Markets in Brisbane.  She decided that she wanted to expand further into fashion and so in 2011 she completed a Diploma of Fashion Design at the Academy of Design, Gold Coast.

 

Branka’s art and design are a celebration of life.  She delights in sharing the beauty of what is through her own unique and intricately detailed style of drawing.  Branka believes a woman can be beautiful and feel comfortable.  Having an appreciation for nature has inspired Branka to include sustainability in her design process.
